Recognition and Derecognition Ballots (Qualified Persons) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001

This Order addresses the issue of the appointment of a 'Qualified Independent Person' (QIP) in relation to ballots for recognition/derecognition of a trade union for collective bargaining purposes.  The Order was amended, firstly in 2005, and again in 2010, to include a new list of QIPs. Links to the original Order and the subsequent amending Statutory Rules are included below :-

In addition the document below is an amalgamated version of the 2001 Order and incorporates the amendments made by the Recognition and Derecognition Ballots (Qualifying Persons) (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2010, which also revoked the Recognition and Derecognition Ballots (Qualifying Persons) (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2004. This amalgamated document has been proof read by members of the Industrial Court Secretariat and we hope it simplifies your general reading of the 2001 Order.
